Backup remains an essential part of IT management of course and we’re pleased to be involved with two products that are both outstanding and yet quite different.

For those of you with Google Apps and/or Office 365, please don’t think that Google and Microsoft will look after all of your data backup and recovery requirements!  For example, there’s no way they can allow for a mistaken deletion by an end user and they’re also not all that good at selectively restoring data.  We’re a partner of the excellent Spanning Backup solution for backup of GA and O365 data and we highly recommend it to you when so much of your organisation’s critical mail and documents is now in those online suites.

For a broader backup solution, there’s probably no better-known backup technology these days than Veeam.  Covering all the bases, including integrating with cloud services like Azure, Veeam is a worthy step up from the older backup solutions.
